考虑到十八年后的今天，Kevin Spacey因为性侵丑闻以及通过出柜来转移注意力的方式引起公愤，基本上演艺事业已经完蛋，这段独白更显得意义非凡：

最神奇的是，这段话对于所有性侵的受害者来说也同样成立，尤其是第一句。

这个世界虽然有太多的丑陋，但总有更多的美丽。

所以，无论遇到了多么巨大的不幸，都要保持积极的心态。

毕竟，能够来到这个世界上，能够在痛苦的同时见证到更多的美好，已经是一种privilege。
