Have you ever overcome an addiction by going cold turkey?

cold turkey: to quit an addiction very abruptly, suddenly / shortly / sharp. like these people:
chain smoker:a heavy smoker (usually of cigarettes) who lights one off of another
Alcoholic:someone who regularly drinks too much alcohol and has difficulty stopping.
Drug addict:someone who is addicted to illegal drugs.
